I love planning. Which of course does not mean, that the working steps assigned to a given time frame are realized exactly according to said plan. But the planning phase feels like dreaming about a reality I want to create in the near future. It allows me to focus on what I want to achieve and/ or leave behind. For this new year 2025 I realized - kind of 'ex post ante' - that all my dreams can be subsumed under 'exposure'. Swiftly, i declared this my overall goal for this brand new year. If you are interested in reading on, find my list of goals for the next six months in prioritized order:
- Finish website (done mostly, at least online; creating and filling the shop is due until March)
- Apply to contests (I did apply to uppercase magazine, for their pattern guide)
- Order fabric swatches (I ordered 4 metres of fabric with a lot of pattern swatches. They should arrive shortly and I am, as you might expect, very curious and excited).
- Print postcards & affirmation cards (prepared, not yet ordered)
- Print stickers (already uploaded to the printer)
- Sew pouches, place sets and napkins with your fabric
- Address two allocated shops and offer my products
- Continue with fine arts course and fulfill the tasks, working (nearly daily)
- Blockprint fabric
- Learn Photoshop
I wonder how you deal with planning, structuring your next months. Let me know.
